Customer: Oslo Technical Museum
Product: 600 sqm. exhibition
Purpose: Digital installations, AI installation
Through a new exhibition titled “Energy”, the Technical Museum in Oslo tells the story of the development of energy over time and explores scenarios for the energy of the future. The latter is unfolded through a technological installation titled “The Oracle”, which uses a complex AI engine to create “incredible” images that correspond to what an “oracle” would answer about the future. No Parking designed a tactile user interface that allows multiple visitors to explore at the same time, where the oracle’s answers are projected onto eight screens around the interface table.

No Parking’s role in the project includes several areas of responsibility, including the development of ideas and concepts, digital design and technical management. Through a series of workshops facilitated by our team, the project framework and approaches were developed in close collaboration with the client. This ensured that the project was tailored to the client’s needs and requirements and that all stakeholders were involved and engaged in the process. We have also automated start-up and shut-down, and made sure the installation can be accessed and supported over the internet.

In addition to the technically complex “oracle”, No Parking has also provided several animations for projections that create atmosphere around the different themes in the exhibition. We also advised the museum on purchasing the right projection equipment, so that the visualizations appear powerful and clear.
